Contemporary Moroccan tiles
Swedish design and architecture studio Claesson Koivisto Rune has created reinterpretations of traditional Moroccan cement tiles for company Marrakech Design.
Using traditional materials and an old artisanal production process, the studio created three clean patterns – Stone, Dandelion and Casa– that are obviously inspired by classical Arabic geometry as well as Japanese aesthetics, with a Scandinavian twist to them.
Available in several colors, the three tile designs can be arranged in various ways, offering several different macro-patterns for each. There is also the possibility to dispose the tiles in random ways, providing non-repetitive formations.

TMA-1
Designed by Danish design firm KIBISI, the AIAIAI's TMA-1′s headphones cut a stripped-down physical profile with no joints to weaken their structural durability. Their solid construction is backed by a detailed headstage that makes them an excellent candidate for any DJ shopping for a stylish headset and neutral tonality for mixing music. The matte black finish is beautiful, made of a durable nylon material with an adjustable headband, using a “notch” like system.
The TMA-1 appropriately apes its name from Arthur C. Clark's "2001: A Space Odyssey".

German Jan von Borstel, based in Hamburg and London, is a designer, artist and consultant. One such example is the evolution of 7 Chairs – a feature of his Snow White installation in London.
Made from laser-cut sheet metal, which is then bent and dipped in glossy white PVC, the chairs together represent the smooth metamorphosis from a relaxed lounge chair to an upright kitchen chair, which includes changes in seating height and backrest angle.

Boiacca
Paolo Lucidi and Luca Pevere of LucidiPevere Design Studio have created Boiacca, a beautiful dining table for Kristalia. Made entirely of cement, the piece carries a strong architectural identity. Designers took the material to its absolute limit, striving to sustain a minimal form and back it up with superior structural integrity due to the contrast between the slick and elegant form of the table and the roughness of the material. The piece is element-resistant and can be used both indoors and outdoors.

Aesop Nolita
NYC-based architecture firm Tacklebox is behind the design and concept for skincare brand Aesop‘s store in Elizabeth Street.
Succintly filled with oak shelves stocked with products aligned with spartan precision, the main feature of this space, however – and nearly unseen due to its very subtle texture - is the the concept of newsprint walls (stacked strips of newspapers held within a continuous oak wrapper), covering nearly every surface of the shop. Like paper, they will age over time, in this way, the history of Aesop North America will be recorded within the very walls of this first store.

Sharing Watch
Sharing Watch is a work of Cho, Eun Whan and Shin, Tai Ho of studio MAEZM. They have equipped this unusual timepiece with something more than a reliable mechanism and an air of elegant simplicity. They gave it a communal spirit! Instead of the traditional arrangement of numbers on the dial, there is a slight shift, allowing you to see the time from the side. By simply extending your hand forward or raising it, you can share the time with others.
The faded numbers make the dial look minimal and uncluttered. They are also quite readable, which is essential for a piece designed to be looked at from a distance.

Kinetic Lights
These lamps were created by London based designer Michael Anastassiades. The configuration of each chandelier changes as its various parts move at the joints. Anastassiades’ work is featured in permanent collections at the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. These particular lamps were spotted at the Moss gallery, New York’s design mecca, which closes its doors later this month.
