Wrap Glassware

Product Designer Simon Hasan has an exquisite collection of laboratory-grade borosilicate glassware in the form of a bottle, carafe and decanter, all carefully hand crafted and wrapped in leather. I am drawn to the simplicity of the details of this set of Wrap Glassware. The brass pins complete the beautiful sequence of the design,  emphasizing the contrast of materials while the use of the leather softens normally sterile-looking objects.

The Kami table is entirely made in solid bamboo. Available in natural or black, it can be a living room table, a desk or a peculiar meeting table. The absence of screws, bolts and glues and the innovative interlock assembly underline its technical and aesthetic qualities.

Chip

Thalie

It was such a treat coming across industrial designer Julie Richoz’s project titled Thalie. The seductive forms, across industrial designer Julie Richoz’s project titled Thalie, were cut to resemble a plate, a fruit bowl and a bread basket. Only a piece of metal wire, each composed of a frame made of spring steel, secures each piece together.
